People have picked up on the concept term ‘weaponisation’.
It’s getting a little loose out there, and I’ve seen it thrown around in describing the political movements tapping into, and harnessing antisemitism.
This operates sort of more kind of like shielding laws, such as doxing laws. Built on a just platform, but inevitably can be employed as a shield for the corrupt. It gets entangled, and can be easy to justify out, but once in place as an across the board, umbrella regulation, can easily be employed specifically as a shield, serving widespread against humanity.
The empathy and compassion generated through the genocide, 1940’s. Allowed into motion, for one, the manifestation of Israel. Providing enough empathy to weight through the mainstream to bury, or silence the injustice served to the Palestinians. Most of us never knew what happened to the local people in the formation of Israel. Thinking that it was empty desert given freely from Nations. This isn’t our arrogance, it is a result of the manipulation of the mainstream consensus. With the awareness of the Nakba coming to light only recently.
News of the holocaust also sent out a shock wave where humanity became appalled by hatred towards Jews, giving rise to antisemitism. A just cause, but single faceted, leaving it susceptible to imbalance and political plays.
People are noticing today how antisemitism is being employed as a shield. Some have put forward that speaking against the ill actions being directed through Israel, is the same as acting or speaking out against the Jews. That it is one and the same. Effectively repurposing the concept of antisemitism into a shield. Or in some cases, sort of like an armoured car or transport vehicle. As a secondary, or double edged sword, this mis, or corrupted use, in addition to shielding has the effect of generating, or justifying movements of hatred towards the Jews, or target body.
