Many are circulating that Israel has a right to defend itself. Though it does seem the actions taken have gone considerably beyond that. But let’s take it at its word. If Israel has a right to defend its self, then for what reason, on October 7, were Gunship Pilots and National Defence personal grounded and stood down for at least six hours while within earshot of the massacre ensuing ?
Professional reports have stated that it takes approximately five minutes to get a Gunship in the air and the Israeli defence force is renowned as being fairly well organised.
Military staff however were only launched after six to ten hours, missing a window to track hostages, or establish a containment perimeter.
There is a lot of weight justifying the subsequent onslaught against Palestine resting on the logic string of Israel having a right to defend itself. There is a very big difference of defending a people, or sending an axe to grind.
There is talk that Hamas cannot be defeated, as it is an ideology. The ideology, as we call it here in Australia comes down to pretty much, Fair Go Mate. The Palestinians, as is spreading through the world have been under considerable regime for quite a few decades now. Long enough that people would understand that they would want to stand and defend themselves. But, somethings jumped in front of that. The harvesters come and stitch into that ideology dragging it into, and painting it as something else. The violence may not represent the population, but you only need a few to paint that ideology of, fair go mate, into a target justifying a platform of retribution.
